About Us
Goody's Children's Books was started in December, 2016 when Milton the Christmas Moose was published. Steve Goodwin is a professor in the Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition at the University of Delaware. Jean Goodwin is a retired elementary school teacher. Together we hope our books help teach children to be kind, respectful, and caring to others. Other themes include accepting people with disabilities and people from other cultures.
Ioanna Philippou is a graduate of the University of Delaware and an award winning illustrator and artist from Cyprus. More of her work can be seen at: http://www.intotoillustration.com/
Our Mission:
We write books that promote the development of positive character traits leading to increased social and emotional health and happiness of all children. Our books contribute to the character development curriculum used in elementary schools. Our overriding goal is to teach children about acceptance of all, including those with disabilities, differences, or other challenges.
